The ideal candidate will have experience with freight forwarding industry and have great communication skills. Responsibilities Maintain customer/vendor relationships Handles business inquiries by phone and emails Gather data on competitors and analyze prices, sales, and methods of company's customer service and compile data, evaluate it and make recommendations respecting pricing of cargo transportation services Provide assistance in import/export operation as necessary Handles phone calls and emails from customer and overseas agents Other duties as assigned by the management Requirements Highschool Diploma Experience with freight forwarding company is preferred Experience with a Japanese company is a huge plus Strong written and verbal skills in English with an outgoing and social personality Strong Microsoft Office skills. Excel/Word experience required This position will not support visa sponsorship This position will not support relocation costs This position includes working in a manufacturing and/or warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
