(Department of Transportation) regulations Full Job Description Class A CDL Local Driver Job Description We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Class A CDL Driver to join our team. This position primarily involves operating a well-maintained 1-ton pickup truck paired with a 40-foot flatbed/hotshot trailer (GCWR rated at 36,000 lbs). The primary responsibility is the safe and efficient transport of shipping containers to various local and regional delivery points. Most runs average up to 300 loaded miles, allowing for an excellent work-life balance with daily home time . Key Responsibilities Safely operate and maneuver a 1-ton truck and 40-foot trailer combo under various traffic and weather conditions. Secure, haul, and deliver shipping containers to designated locations within a 300-mile radius of the Kansas City regional area. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations. Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation. Compensation & Benefits

1 week of paid vacation after completing one full year of dedicated service. Qualifications & Requirements Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) . Clean driving record and solid understanding of DOT compliance and safety standards. Experience with hotshot setups or handling 40-foot trailers is preferred but not required.
