Job Description
About the Role We are seeking professional independent contractors to facilitate the efficient transport and final-mile delivery of large-scale home improvement and consumer goods. By leveraging your own 24-26 foot box truck, you will play a vital role in ensuring that high-value residential orders reach their destinations safely and on schedule. Responsibilities Execute same-day transport of home improvement materials and large-format consumer goods from distribution centers to residential or commercial job sites. Ensure all deliveries are completed within established daily timeframes to maintain high service level agreements. Provide professional, customer-focused service during the unloading and handover process for every client interaction. Maintain precise communication regarding delivery status and order updates using mobile technology. Manage the secure loading and unloading of heavy items, including furniture, flooring, and outdoor structures, ensuring cargo integrity. Coordinate logistics efficiently to optimize routes and maximize daily delivery volume. Qualifications Required Skills Ownership or lease of a 24-26 foot box truck in good operating condition. Active business entity status with a valid federal tax ID (EIN). Proof of all necessary commercial vehicle and liability insurance coverage. Proficiency with mobile devices and logistics-related communication applications. Strong knowledge of local geography and regional navigation. Preferred Skills Prior experience in final-mile delivery or freight transportation. Mechanical aptitude for the assembly or handling of complex consumer goods. Demonstrated history of providing exceptional customer service in a field-based role. Experience operating a lift-gate equipped vehicle for heavy cargo.
