Accounting Clerk - Global Freight Forwarder (36255)

Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join their team in Fort Lee, NJ. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, collaborate with internal teams, and contribute to accurate financial reporting within a fast-paced freight forwarding environment. This is a direct hire, full time and 100% onsite work setting.

Accounting Clerk Key Responsibilities:

Manage credit control and monitor customer accounts Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records Communicate and collaborate with HQ accounting team (5 staff members) Liaise with local branch offices, operations teams, and branch managers via email and phone Learn and utilize internal accounting system (CODA) to run reports and post journal entries Coordinate overseas settlements with international offices and agents Assist with financial reporting and support the

Accounting Manager Accounting Clerk Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience) 1~2 years of Bookkeeping or strong knowledge of general ledger. Japanese language skill is a big asset but not mandatory Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), Word, and Outlook Experience with QuickBooks Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment Experience in freight forwarding or logistics industry is preferred Familiarity with CargoWise, Descartes (ONEVIEW), or similar systems is asset Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions / Renaissance Resources Inc. has been a trusted leader in North American recruiting for Japanese businesses for over 25 years.
