Duties Safely operate a cargo van or box truck, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations during route driving. Load and unload goods using manual handling techniques, forklifts, or pallet jacks as needed, ensuring items are secured properly for transit. Deliver packages and freight to customers' locations promptly, providing excellent customer service with a positive attitude. Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and complete all necessary documentation accurately. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure optimal performance and safety. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior and exterior throughout the day. Communicate effectively with dispatchers or supervisors regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or any issues encountered. Experience Previous delivery driver experience with cargo vans or box trucks is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability in route driving with a focus on punctuality and efficiency. Experience in warehouse operations, including loading/unloading goods using forklifts or pallet jacks. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally. Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely during load/unload activities. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards to ensure compliance at all times.
