Job Description

Job Summary Q Good Logistics is seeking a dynamic and proactive Freight Agent to join our logistics team! In this vital role, you will be the driving force behind coordinating freight shipments, managing transportation logistics, and building strong relationships with carriers and clients. Your expertise in supply chain management and transportation planning will ensure seamless movement of goods across various channels. Duties Coordinate and manage freight shipments utilizing transportation management systems (TMS) and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) platforms to ensure accurate and timely delivery. Develop customer relationships through effective account management Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service terms with carriers, 3PL providers and other logistics partners to secure optimal freight solutions. Oversee transportation planning, dispatching, and carrier sales activities to optimize freight routes, reduce costs, and improve service levels. Maintain detailed data entry records related to shipments, contracts, pricing agreements, and compliance when applicable. Monitor supply chain operations to identify opportunities for process improvements in logistics sales, transportation management, and carrier dispatching. Experience Minimum of 6 months experience in supply chain management, transportation management systems (TMS), or logistics sales roles. Strong background in account management, negotiation of contracts, and freight pricing strategies. Familiarity with 3PL operations Knowledge of transportation planning, dispatching processes, carrier relations, and logistics regulations. Demonstrated ability to generate leads through proactive outreach and develop lasting customer relationships. Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience working as a Freight Agent and book of Business Required! Up to 75% commission based on experience.
Pay:
$49,107.97 - $59,140.78 per year
