Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Freight Forwarding Manager to lead our logistics operations and drive excellence in freight management. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the coordination of international and domestic shipments, manage relationships with carriers and clients, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Your leadership will optimize supply chain processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to the growth of our logistics services. Duties Lead and coordinate freight forwarding activities across multiple modes of transportation including air, sea, and land to ensure timely delivery of goods Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements with carriers and vendors to maximize cost efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards Coordinate transportation planning, dispatching, and freight scheduling to meet customer deadlines and operational goals Lead inside sales efforts by identifying new business opportunities through lead generation, B2B sales strategies, and account management Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics sales, carrier sales, pricing strategies, and overall supply chain performance Ensure accurate data entry for shipment documentation, tracking updates, and invoicing to facilitate smooth operations Skills Extensive knowledge of supply chain management principles and logistics operations Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable rates and contracts Expertise in freight forwarding processes including B2B sales, account management, and logistics sales Familiarity with 3PL services, NVOCC operations, carrier sales, and transportation planning Ability to manage complex contracts while ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and other legal standards Excellent communication skills for customer relationship management (CRM) and inside sales activities Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry, dispatching, and documentation accuracy Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively within a fast-paced logistics environment
