Full Job Description Company Overview:
Verition Fund Management LLC ("Verition") is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008. Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Credit, Fixed Income & Macro, Convertible & Volatility Arbitrage, Event-Driven, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets, and Quantitative Strategies. Job Responsibilities Monitor broker reports and industry sources daily to identify and record new cargo fixtures across refined oil product markets Maintain and update a structured database of fixed vessels, tracking vessel status, cargo details, origin, destination, and expected arrival dates Track cargos on the water across import and export corridors, ensuring the database reflects current market positioning at all times Prepare and distribute daily reports summarizing cargo flows, highlighting incremental changes to expected import and export volumes Flag material shifts in supply flows, vessel scheduling changes, or anomalies in expected cargo arrivals to traders and analysts promptly Communicate clearly and efficiently with traders on the trade floor, synthesizing complex logistical information into concise, actionable updates Support the trading desk with ad hoc data requests and analysis during active market hours

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage multiple data streams simultaneously and prioritize effectively under pressure Comfort operating in a fast-paced, open trading floor environment where priorities can shift quickly Proficiency in Excel; experience with databases or data tools a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to deliver clear, concise updates to senior traders in real time Preferred /
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Prior exposure to commodities, shipping, or energy markets is a plus but not required Familiarity with vessel tracking platforms such as Vortexa, Kpler, or Bloomberg shipping tools Experience working with broker reports, fixture sheets, or freight market data Understanding of AI-based tools to help optimize and synthesize data management
