Shipping Administrator AmeriTemps Lewisville, TX Job Details Temp-to-hire | Full-time $24.42 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation Filing Warehouse management system Attention to detail Organizational skills Appointment scheduling Full Job Description The Shipping Administrator is responsible for coordinating shipping activities, preparing shipment documentation, tracking orders, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. This role works closely with warehouse personnel, carriers, and customers to support efficient shipping operations and maintain inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities Generate and verify all domestic and international shipping documents (BOLs, Custom Declarations, Hazmat paper works) Maintain a rigorous filing system for FTL, LTL, and parcel tracking along with load verification photos to migitate liability and shipping claims. Provide real-time updates to order statuses in the ERP/WMS immediately following picking, staging, and loading Serve as the primary point of contact for outbound carriers (LTL, FTL, and Parcel), driver check-in and check-out, and support of internal team shipping inquiries and requests Own the dock appointment schedule, ensuring dock personnel are briefed on specific loading instructions and shipping deadlines for the day. Publish daily and weekly shipping reports to leadership, highlighting volume trends and carrier performance. Analyze shipping data to identify recurring service failures and recommend process improvements to reduce freight spend. Proactively communicate shipment status and potential delays to the Program and Sales teams. Support warehouse safety initiatives and ensure all outbound activity complies with DOT and shipping regulations Skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (ability to use formulas, sort data, and create reports for daily shipping metrics). Experience with ERP or WMS systems preferred. Strong verbal and written skills for coordinating pick-up times with drivers and providing clear status updates to internal teams Ability to independently resolve "exceptions" such as missed pickups, damaged freight, or documentation discrepancies Verifiable experience with LTL (Less Than Truckload), FTL (Full Truckload), and small parcel shipping (UPS/FedEx) is essential
