In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and packages to various destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Your energetic approach and commitment to excellent customer service will help us maintain our reputation for reliability and professionalism. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be on the move, navigate diverse routes, and contribute directly to customer satisfaction. Duties Safely operate a box truck or cargo van, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, heavy lifting skills, or equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary. Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery schedules. Deliver goods directly to customers' locations, providing friendly and professional customer service throughout each interaction. Verify delivery details, obtain signatures or proof of delivery, and document all transactions accurately. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition; report any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cargo area for safety and efficiency. Experience Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier, especially with box trucks or cargo vans. Demonstrated ability in route driving with a focus on punctuality and safety. Experience with warehouse operations, including load & unload procedures. Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and moving equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Follow FMCSA rules and practice.
