Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive specializing in Cargo, Courier, Shipping, and Logistics services & freight forwarding industry. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key client accounts, and driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives. Your expertise in supply chain management, transportation solutions, and logistics sales will be vital to delivering exceptional service and building long-term partnerships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, leveraging your knowledge of Cargo, Courier, freight forwarding, carrier relationships, and logistics systems to expand our market presence. Duties Identify and generate new leads through proactive prospecting, networking, and market research to expand the customer base. Develop tailored logistics solutions for clients by understanding their supply chain needs and presenting appropriate freight forwarding services. Manage existing client accounts to ensure satisfaction, retention, and growth by providing expert consultation on transportation management and logistics strategies. Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service terms with clients and carriers to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive offerings. Coordinate with internal teams on transportation planning, dispatching, and freight scheduling using systems such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS), EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), or AS400 platforms. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and contract details within CRM software to facilitate effective account management. Collaborate with carriers, 3PL providers (Third-Party Logistics), NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers), and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transportation execution aligned with FDA regulations and industry standards. Skills Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and transportation management systems. Proven experience in B2B sales within the Cargo logistics or freight forwarding industry. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively while fostering long-term relationships. Familiarity with logistics operations including dispatching, freight handling, carrier sales, and transportation planning. Proficiency in CRM software for lead generation, data entry, and account management; experience with EDI and AS400 is a plus. Effective communication skills for inside sales activities and customer relationship management. Ability to analyze pricing strategies and develop competitive proposals that meet client needs while ensuring profitability.
