POSITION SUMMARY

This is a desirable and rewarding position in our company as the employee services one of our largest clients through professional communication, on-time delivery, and adherence to detailed packaging requirements. The optimal candidate will possess great attention to detail, exceptional attendance, and a desire to succeed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Forklifting material throughout the plant. Load and unload parts and materials from suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare and package loads as necessary for transporting to customers & subcontractors. Inspect and properly label all parts and materials that are either received, ready to ship, or moved to designated plant locations. Schedule outside freight companies for pick up and deliveries. Ensure all shipments meet customer's very detail oriented packaging standards at all times. Prepare freight documentation including Bill of Ladings and Packing Slips. Keep shipping department desks and counters neat and organized.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of three years previous experience in shipping and receiving. Ability to read and interpret blueprints is highly desirable. Good written and oral communication skills. Exceptional knowledge and understanding of forklift operation and material handling. Ability to move small or large loads efficiently. Large loads could be 40-foot long material. Must be self-directed and independent but also have the ability to work as part of a team. Proficient with personal computers and experience using ERP systems. Must be able to learn customer portal navigation as well as packaging label generation software. Ability to interface with customers and other shop personnel in a professional manner via verbal or electronic communication. Must have good organizational skills and have the ability to multi-task. Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment. Reliable, dependable and have a safety-first mentality. Must have excellent attendance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Lift, carry, push and or pull 1

• 50 lbs frequently. Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently. Sit, stand and walk for 1
• 10 hours per day. Ability to work in a 55
• 85 degree Fahrenheit work environment.

Work in an industrial environment wearing proper PPE at all times.
