Founded in 1971, the CCCIA is proudly celebrating 55 years of advocacy, leadership, and service to the construction industry. For more than five decades, the Association has served as the trusted voice of builders, contractors, developers, suppliers, and industry professionals who have helped shape one of Florida's fastest-growing communities. Today, the CCCIA is stronger than ever. Membership is growing at a rapid pace, events are consistently well-attended and profitable, and the Association maintains strong relationships with local government officials, city departments, and community stakeholders. Supported by an engaged membership and a dedicated Board of Directors, the CCCIA is seeking a leader who can continue this positive trajectory and elevate the organization to even greater levels of influence and success. Position Overview The Executive Director serves as the chief executive and administrative officer of the Association and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization . This highly visible leadership position requires an individual who can successfully balance strategic planning, advocacy, membership growth, event management, financial oversight, and government relations while maintaining a strong focus on member value and organizational excellence. The Executive Director works directly with the Board of Directors to execute the Association's strategic objectives and ensure the continued success and relevance of the CCCIA within the building industry and the broader Cape Coral community. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Strategic Planning Develop and execute strategic initiatives approved by the Board of Directors. Identify opportunities for membership growth, revenue generation, and organizational advancement. Monitor industry trends and issues affecting the building industry and provide recommendations to the Board. Ensure the long-term financial stability and organizational success of the Association. Advocacy & Government Relations Serve as the primary liaison between the Association and local government. Meet regularly with City Council members, city administration, building department officials, and other key stakeholders. Monitor issues impacting the building industry and advocate on behalf of the membership. Report to the Board of Directors on matters affecting the continued growth, health, and solvency of the building industry in Cape Coral. Membership Development Lead membership recruitment, engagement, retention, and sponsorship initiatives. Maintain strong relationships with current and prospective members. Ensure members receive exceptional value and meaningful opportunities for involvement. Events & Programs Plan and oversee all Association events, expos, networking functions, educational programs, and special initiatives. Work closely with committees and volunteers to ensure successful event execution. Maintain the profitability and continued growth of Association programs and events. Board & Committee Support Prepare comprehensive Board of Directors agenda packets and supporting materials. Attend and support all Board and committee meetings. Schedule committee meetings and assist committee leadership in accomplishing organizational goals. Provide timely reports regarding membership, finances, advocacy efforts, and strategic initiatives. Financial & Administrative Management Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Manage Association operations, contracts, vendors, and administrative functions. Ensure compliance with all applicable policies and procedures. Community Engagement Represent the Association at community functions, local events, charitable activities, ribbon cuttings, and industry gatherings. Build and maintain relationships that enhance the visibility and influence of the CCCIA throughout Southwest Florida. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: Proven leadership and management experience. Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills. Experience in association management, nonprofit leadership, construction, business development, government affairs, or a related field. Financial management and budgeting experience. Strategic planning and execution capabilities. The ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with volunteer leaders and industry professionals.
