Peoria, IL Job Details Full-time $190,000 - $220,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Non-profit experience Senior leadership Full Job Description To provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight as CEO/President of a multi-million-dollar non-profit agency serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) across more than 15 counties in Illinois. The CEO/President will be responsible for advancing the organization's mission, ensuring financial sustainability, promoting a culture of excellence and inclusivity, and leading a dedicated team of employees to deliver high-quality, person-centered services that enhance the quality of life and opportunities for individuals with I/DD. Mission, Vision, and Values Support the agency's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan philosophy Manage all responsibilities based on the agency's mission, using individual choice, and all appropriate policies, procedures, and regulations Conduct oneself in a way that reflects the highest standards of professional courtesy and ethical practices to people served, staff, guardians, families, and all outside contacts
Education/Experience Requirements:
Master's degree in business administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Social Services, or related field required. MBA, Doctrine, preferred. Proven track record of senior executive leadership in nonprofit or human services organizations of comparable size and complexity.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Strong leadership/administrative skills. Demonstrated ability to organize workload, maintain several projects of equal priority at once, and sustain productivity and accuracy under pressure Effective and open communicator, with high-level oral and written skills Excels in training, leading, and motivating people Strong interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Strong analytical skills Strong ethical conduct Physical Requirements Frequent walking and sitting Regular reaching, grasping, and standing Other physical activities related to an office environment Operates general office equipment, including multi-line phone, fax machine, printer, copier, and personal computer Ability to lift 50 lbs CEO will Keep informed of current trends and developments in developmental disabilities and related fields and interpret it to the Board of Directors, staff, and stakeholders. Responsible for the enhancement of the organization's image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with other professionals, civic, and private organizations. Serve as the organization's primary spokesperson to constituents, the media, and the general public regarding the Agency's mission, programs, services, and goals. Provide information and testimony on behalf of the Agency to governmental, legislative, and other public entities. Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations (national, state, and local) and stylize those relationships to enhance the organization's Mission strategically.
