Job Description

Job Summary Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley seeks an accomplished, mission-driven Chief Executive Officer to provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the organization. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is accountable for advancing the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities through strong organizational leadership, fiscal stewardship, fundraising growth, operational excellence, and meaningful community engagement. This leader will serve as the primary ambassador for the organization, fostering trusted relationships with the Board, staff, volunteers, donors, hospital partners, and community stakeholders while ensuring alignment between mission, strategy, and daily operations. Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of the organization's strategic vision, operating plan, and annual budget in partnership with the Board of Directors. Oversee all aspects of organizational performance, including operations, finance, fundraising, marketing, community relations, program development, and human resources. Serve as the principal spokesperson and external representative for Ronald McDonald House Charities, strengthening partnerships with key stakeholders across the region. Build and sustain high-impact relationships with donors, funders, media, hospital leadership, and community influencers to expand awareness and support for the mission. Provide executive oversight of fundraising strategy, donor cultivation, grant development, major gifts, and campaign planning in collaboration with the Chief Advancement Officer. Ensure strong financial management, including budget oversight, accounting controls, audit coordination, and required regulatory filings. Recruit, lead, develop, and retain a diverse, high-performing team while cultivating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Establish clear performance expectations, organizational metrics, and staff development processes to support long-term success. Partner with the Board in governance, board development, reporting, and strategic decision-making. Champion a compassionate, values-based leadership style that reflects the mission and culture of Ronald McDonald House Charities. Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent relevant experience; nonprofit leadership experience preferred. Proven executive leadership experience with responsibility for organizational strategy, operations, and financial oversight. Demonstrated success in fundraising, donor engagement, event leadership, and external relations. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong emotional intelligence, integrity, credibility, and judgment. Ability to lead collaboratively across a diverse group of staff, volunteers, board members, and community partners. Experience with nonprofit governance, philanthropic networks, and community-based partnerships preferred. Deep commitment to the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities and the families it serves. Board Engagement Administrate meetings of the Board of Directors, executive council, and relevant committees. Provide timely, insightful reports and recommendations to support informed board governance. Support board recruitment, onboarding, and engagement of diverse, committed members.
Position Details Full-Time, Exempt Onsite Compensation:
TBD Physical Requirements The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks associated with maintaining a house and managing inventory and supplies, including the ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Pay:
$100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
