Southwest Michigan/Northwest Indiana or Virtual Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and talented leader to originate and manage investments for Four Winds Ventures, LLC in gaming (casinos), hospitality (hotels, restaurants, etc.) and related sectors (entertainment, etc.). Qualified candidates will have strong marketing skills, experience in relevant industries, and a strong referral network from which to generate new business for the firm. The CEO will report to the Four Winds Ventures Board of Directors and be supported by the Investment/Loan Committee (ILC). We offer a generous compensation package with incentives. This is a long-term growth opportunity for the ideal candidate. While our headquarters is in Dowagiac, Michigan, the location of this position is flexible. Some travel will be required. Administration/Management Responsible for all aspects of the business including all business affairs, administrative duties and reporting. Ensure all orders and resolutions of the Board are carried into effect. Maintain a budget tracking financial performance and expenses. Provide weekly and monthly reports to Board of Directors on activities and results. Serve as an active participant on the Investment/Loan Committee as a non-voting member. Be responsible for the recruitment, hiring and management of any necessary support staff as approved by the Board of Directors and in accordance with the operating budget. Evaluate and select any necessary database management or support tools in line with the operating budget. Business Development Responsibilities Actively pursue business development opportunities and originate new client engagements for the firm within selected industry sectors. Develop and maintain contact lists in relevant sectors. Participate in key industry conferences, networking events and tradeshows to generate exposure and promote the firm. Deal Origination and Execution Responsibilities Lead deal teams on transactions from initial diligence to transaction closing. Manage day-to-day aspects of relationships, investments, and serve as primary contact on engagements. Desired Skills and Experience Fifteen years of experience at a private equity firm, bank, boutique, regional investment bank or gaming, hospitality or related business. Demonstrated understanding of the innerworkings and operations of gaming, hospitality or related businesses. Proven track record of new business development, origination and supporting the closing of transactions. Established relationships and contacts with private equity firms, businesses, and referral sources. Knowledge, expertise, and transaction history within relevant industries. Demonstrated experience with managing day-to-day aspects of business relationships, transactions, and teams. Understanding of deal structures and negotiation. Internal reporting detail. A desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment with the ability to think creatively, playing a key role in engineering the firm's long-term success. Bachelor's degree required, an MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
