Rate of Pay:
DOQ Valid Driver's License issued in the US required. Eligibility determined by FDL's insurance company. 21 years of age or older required. Bachelor's degree in business administration, regulatory affairs & law, horticulture or closely related field required. Ten years of cannabis management experience required. Three years of managing an entire company, department, or business unit required. One year of experience as a CEO, COO, or related position required. Ability to initiate proposals, negotiate contracts and close deals required. Demonstrated strong business management, analytical, and organizational skills required. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required. Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved. Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies. Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks. Travel is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Normal Physical requirements. Define and implement the cannabis division's mission and vision, establish a long-term growth strategy, and execute a strategic plan that fosters a culture aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices. Provide strategic management to inspire and lead FDL Cannabis employees to achieve business/ department goals. Ensure adherence to tribal, state, and federal cannabis regulations. Oversee licensing, security, and operational compliance. Develop risk mitigation strategies for legal, financial, and reputational challenges. Manage budgets, forecast revenue, and identify investment opportunities to propose and secure funding solutions. Expand operations through partnerships, acquisitions, or new market entry. Oversee cultivation, manufacturing, and distribution processes. Ensure product quality, innovation. and differentiation in the market. Optimize supply chain efficiency and sustainability. Develop branding that resonates with consumers and industry stakeholders. Build strategic partnerships to enhance brand visibility. Maintain relationships with stakeholders, regulators, and industry leaders. Advocate for responsible cannabis policies and community initiatives. Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on the operating conditions of the company. Monitors competitive land scape and represent Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa in public forums and industry events to stay competitive and knowledgeable about emerging topics related to cannabis. Appropriate work attire is required. Must attend all mandatory department trainings and meetings. Ensures confidentiality of all related records, including but not limited to financial, employee, band members and/or clients. Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
