The CEO works closely with the Board of Directors to set vision and strategy while leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and outcomes for youth and families. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute the organization's long-term vision and strategic plan Partner with the Board of Directors to align mission, goals, and performance outcomes Identify growth opportunities, partnerships, and program expansion initiatives Operational Oversight Provide leadership across residential, foster care, adoption, and educational programs Ensure compliance with all state licensing, regulatory, and accreditation requirements Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, safety, and program effectiveness Financial Management Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and fiscal accountability Ensure long-term financial sustainability through diversified revenue streams Manage relationships with funding sources, including government contracts, grants, and donors Team LeadershipCulture Build, lead, and retain a high-performing leadership team Foster a mission-driven, accountable, and supportive organizational culture Ensure effective talent development, succession planning, and staff engagement External RelationsFundraising Serve as the primary spokesperson and ambassador for the organization Cultivate relationships with donors, community leaders, partners, and stakeholders Lead fundraising initiatives, grant development, and community outreach efforts GovernanceCompliance Maintain strong governance practices in partnership with the Board Ensure adherence to legal, ethical, and regulatory standards Provide transparent reporting on organizational performance and outcomes Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business Administration, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in nonprofit, behavioral health, child welfare, or residential care settings Proven experience leading multi-program organizations and managing senior leaders Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and funding management Demonstrated success in fundraising, donor relations, or revenue development Knowledge of child welfare systems, trauma-informed care, and regulatory compliance preferred Key Competencies Visionary and strategic thinker Strong operational and financial leadership Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Mission-driven with a passion for serving youth and families High integrity and sound judgment Why Join Opportunity to lead a mission-driven organization with deep community impact Ability to shape strategy, growth, and long-term sustainability Lead meaningful change in the lives of vulnerable youth and families
