The CEO will be responsible for scaling a nationwide consumer fintech platform that helps renters access affordable financing solutions while creating a pathway to homeownership. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise and existing relationships with venture capital, private equity, consumer lending, fintech, banking partnerships, capital markets, securitization, regulatory compliance, strategic partnerships, and public company readiness. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors, investors, warehouse lenders, banking partners, regulators, and institutional capital providers to position RNPL as the market leader in rent financing and first-time homeownership solutions. Key Responsibilities Corporate Leadership Lead the overall vision, strategy, and execution of RNPL. Develop and implement annual operating plans and long-term growth strategies. Build and manage an executive leadership team capable of supporting rapid national expansion. Establish a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, compliance, and customer success. Report regularly to the Board of Directors regarding company performance, strategy, and risk management. Capital Markets & Finance Secure warehouse credit facilities and institutional funding relationships. Develop forward-flow agreements with asset managers, banks, and specialty finance investors. Lead securitization initiatives including ABS transactions and whole-loan sales. Manage investor relations with venture capital, private equity, family offices, and public market investors. Oversee fundraising efforts including future Series B, Series C, and IPO preparation. Banking & Strategic Partnerships Establish and maintain relationships with sponsor banks and Banking-as-a-Service partners. Negotiate partnerships with national homebuilders, property management companies, rental marketplaces, and financial institutions. Develop strategic alliances with organizations that accelerate borrower acquisition and retention. Expand relationships with mortgage lenders, real estate brokerages, and housing agencies. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight Ensure compliance with all federal and state lending regulations. Oversee relationships with legal counsel, compliance consultants, and regulators. Maintain enterprise risk management frameworks. Ensure adherence to consumer protection requirements and fair lending standards. Growth & Operations Drive loan originations, revenue growth, and profitability. Oversee customer acquisition, marketing, product development, and servicing operations. Monitor portfolio performance, credit quality, and loss mitigation strategies. Implement data-driven decision making throughout the organization. Public Company Readiness Lead preparation for a future public listing or strategic transaction. Establish governance frameworks, internal controls, and reporting systems. Build relationships with investment banks, research analysts, and institutional investors. Position RNPL as a category-defining fintech company. Qualifications Required 5+ years of executive leadership experience in fintech, banking, lending, payments, or financial services. Proven experience scaling a venture-backed or publicly traded financial technology company. Demonstrated success raising institutional debt and equity capital. Experience managing relationships with regulators, sponsor banks, and investors. Strong understanding of consumer lending, credit underwriting, capital markets, and securitization. Experience leading organizations through periods of rapid growth. Preferred Prior relationships with venture capital family offices, and private equity firms Experience with warehouse facilities, ABS securitizations, or structured finance transactions. Previous IPO or public company experience. Deep relationships within banking, venture capital, and institutional investment communities. Knowledge of housing finance, mortgage lending, and first-time homebuyer programs.
