(CMD) is a Madison, WI based technology company developing neutron-based detection systems for landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), explosives, and other hazardous materials. CMD possesses unique intellectual property, specialized laboratory facilities, regulatory licenses, and technical expertise in neutron generation, radiation detection, and unmanned systems. Opportunity CMD is seeking an entrepreneurial executive to serve as Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operating Officer and lead the Company through its next phase of development and commercialization Working closely with the Board of Directors, scientists, and strategic partners, the successful candidate will be responsible for helping transform CMD from a development-stage technology company into a commercially viable enterprise. This position is ideally suited for an individual who thrives in early-stage environments, possesses strong leadership and business development skills, and is excited by the challenge of commercializing breakthrough technologies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become a significant equity owner and help shape the future direction of the Company. ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute CMD's strategic vision and business plan.
  • Establish short- and long-term milestones for technology development, commercialization, fundraising, and revenue generation. Business Development and Partnerships
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with technology developers, defense contractors, government agencies, universities, research organizations, and commercial enterprises.
  • Expand CMD's network of collaborators in neutron generation, radiation detection, autonomous systems, mapping technologies, and related fields.
  • Develop commercial opportunities for CMD's intellectual property and technical capabilities. Operations Management
  • Oversee laboratory, office, regulatory, and administrative operations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, licensing, radiation handling, FAA, and regulatory requirements. Infrastructure Development and Monetization
  • Identify opportunities to generate near-term revenue through utilization of CMD's laboratory facilities, radiation-shielded operating environments, regulatory licenses, and UAV capabilities.
  • Evaluate co-location, licensing, testing, and joint development opportunities. Governance and Administration
  • Coordinate Board meetings and prepare reporting materials.
  • Lead fundraising efforts, including grants, strategic investments, venture capital, government funding programs, and other financing opportunities.
  • Maintain regular communication with shareholders, investors, and other stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a technology, engineering, defense, energy, and/or scientific organization.
  • Experience leading an early-stage technology company.
  • Experience raising capital from investors, government programs, and/or strategic partners.
  • Experience working with defense, aerospace, energy, robotics, scientific instrumentation, and/or advanced technology companies.
  • Technical background in engineering, physics, nuclear engineering, fusion technology, robotics, and/or related disciplines. Compensation CMD intends to structure compensation to align management and shareholder interests and will consist of:
  • Significant equity ownership opportunity.
  • Performance-based incentives tied to fundraising, technology development milestones, revenue generation, strategic partnerships, and overall company performance.
  • Cash compensation to be determined based upon the Company's financial resources and the successful candidate's qualifications.
