Role Description The Vice President of Operations
  • Home Health and Hospice is a full-time, hybrid leadership role responsible for overseeing the operational performance of home health and hospice service lines in the Central Valley of CA and beyond.
This role will lead regional and local operational teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, driving quality outcomes, and optimizing processes to support safe, high-quality patient care. The VP of Operations will manage budgets and P&L performance, monitor key operational and clinical metrics, and implement improvement initiatives across multiple locations or markets. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing strategic plans, partnering closely with clinical leadership, standardizing workflows, and ensuring consistent customer service and satisfaction. This role will also collaborate with executive leadership on growth initiatives, new program development, and integration of best practices across the organization. Qualifications Strong operations management skills, including experience leading multi-site or multi-state home health and/or hospice operations. Proficiency in P&L management and financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. Commitment to exceptional customer service, patient experience, and stakeholder relationship management. Strategic planning capabilities, with a track record of developing and executing long-term operational strategies. Project management skills to lead cross-functional initiatives, process improvements, and organizational change. Extensive knowledge of home health and hospice regulations, accreditation standards, and reimbursement models. Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and building high-performing teams. Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills in a complex, matrixed healthcare environment. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Significant leadership experience in home health and/or hospice operations required; national or regional leadership experience is highly beneficial.
