Job Description

Job Description One of our nonprofit clients is looking for a VP of Operations to join their team in Downtown Los Angeles. This position is 5 days a week onsite with limited travel to their additional locations in the area. Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Operations provides leadership, oversight, and financial responsibility for day-to-day operations across Maintenance, Custodial, Health & Safety departments. This role supports operations at the company's main facility as well as two satellite campuses. The VP of Operations is responsible for asset inventory management, preventative and routine maintenance planning, departmental staffing, and coordination of daily operational activities, procedures, and events. This leader ensures facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in alignment with the company's mission and values.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing teams with diverse and complementary skills
  • Collaborate with the CEO on operational vision and strategy, ensuring values are modeled and upheld
  • Partner with the CEO and Vice President of Human Resources to coach and mentor future leaders
  • Collaborate with Finance, Development, and Human Resources on day-to-day operational needs
  • Provide quarterly operational reports to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and Board of Directors
  • Maintain professional partnerships with government and private agencies serving similar populations
  • Maintain financial accountability for assigned areas; monitor key financial indicators and implement corrective actions
  • Lead and coordinate Operations and Maintenance divisions to ensure continuity of daily services
  • Plan and support major events, meetings, and conferences
  • Conduct annual evaluations of facility mechanical and structural systems
