This role is responsible for shaping the direction, performance, and consistency of our branch network while delivering a high-quality, relationship-driven member experience. As VP of Branch Operations, you will operate as a key member of the leadership team, partnering closely with the Chief Experience Officer and other executives to align branch strategy with organizational growth objectives, cultural priorities, and member experience initiatives. This is not a day-to-day branch management role. Instead, you will lead through leaders—setting expectations, building frameworks, and ensuring accountability across all branch locations. What You'll Do Drive Branch Strategy & Performance Develop and execute a forward-looking branch operations strategy aligned with growth and member experience goals Translate enterprise objectives into clear direction, expectations, and measurable outcomes for branch leadership Drive performance across deposits, member growth, loan referrals, and product adoption Leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities, trends, and performance gaps Evaluate branch network effectiveness, including staffing models, hours, and capacity Enhance Member Experience & Growth Champion a consultative, relationship-based service model across all branches Ensure consistency in service delivery, operating models, and leadership practices Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Lending, Digital Services, and Experience teams to deliver seamless member experiences Act as a visible ambassador in the community to strengthen relationships and grow membership Lead & Develop High-Performing Teams Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for Branch Managers and operational leaders Build leadership capability in coaching, decision-making, and team development Establish succession plans and develop bench strength across the branch network Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, and talent strategies Strengthen Governance, Risk & Compliance Oversee operational controls, compliance, and risk management across all branches Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (BSA/AML, OFAC, Reg CC, etc.) Partner with Risk teams to implement and maintain strong control environments Drive disciplined execution through leadership accountability—not task management Build Culture & Lead Change Model and reinforce core values: People First, Do the Right Thing, Make It Simple Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Lead teams through change initiatives with clarity and support Encourage innovation and problem-solving across the organization What You Bring 5-10+ years of leadership experience in financial services or branch operations Proven ability to lead across multiple locations and develop strong leadership teams Deep understanding of credit union/banking operations, including deposits, payments, and member service Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (NCUA, BSA/AML, OFAC, Reg CC) Experience leveraging data and performance metrics to drive business results Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into execution Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
