Job Description

Chief Operating Officer AngryPages Inc Sacramento, CA Job Details Contract $70,304 - $80,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Stock options Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Enterprise selling Fundraising Budgeting Strategic partnerships Senior leadership Full Job Description Chief Operating Officer (Founding Operator) AngryPages.com AngryPages is a California-based publishing platform helping creators turn drafts, books, personal stories, and real-life material into polished public pages.
AngryPages is live at https:
//angrypages.com. AngryPages Inc is a California company (Entity Number
B20250106673
). The wider company structure includes AngryPages Holdings Inc., a Delaware company (File Number 10183773). We are hiring a serious, high-ownership SVP or C-Suite level operator as our Chief Operating Officer to take real ownership of commercial execution and help turn AngryPages into a major revenue-generating business. We are still in the very early stages — bootstrapped with minimal funding (< $5k seed), a tiny team, and modest early traction.
Our long-term ambition is bold:
building a platform that can ultimately serve hundreds of millions to over 1 billion users by helping creators own and monetize their stories at scale in the AI era. This is not a traditional corporate COO role. It is a founding-stage position for someone who wants to treat the company like their own. The scope is large and ambiguous — you must be a self-starter who can independently gather information, assess situations, develop strategies, and execute with minimal hand-holding or debate. The Role As our COO and early founding team member, you will work directly with the founder to drive commercial results. Your focus is turning early traction into real revenue through creators, customers, advertisers, sponsors, and strategic partnerships. Key Responsibilities Bring in creators, customers, and commercial partners Secure advertisers, sponsors, and brand partnerships Pursue publisher, enterprise, and strategic partnership deals Build simple, repeatable sales and outreach processes Help clearly package and position AngryPages for creators, advertisers, and partners Support operations, publishing workflows, and growth initiatives Work directly with the founder on revenue, positioning, operations, and fundraising Who We're Looking For The right person is practical, calm, commercially sharp, and ownership-minded. You are comfortable reaching out to people, making deals, following up relentlessly, closing opportunities, and building from an early stage.
Ideal background includes:
Prior experience as
COO, SVP
Operations, Head of Partnerships, Head of Growth, or similar senior role Background in business development, partnerships, advertising, sponsorships, media, publishing, creator economy, or startup operations Strong judgment, follow-through, and comfort operating in ambiguity Ability to work directly with a founder and turn broad goals into daily execution Real ownership mindset, hustle, integrity, and independent execution matter far more than the perfect resume. What We Offer True founding-team status with meaningful equity Significant stock options in AngryPages Holdings Inc. (vesting over time) Direct influence on strategy, direction, and culture Fast feedback loops and visible impact every single week If you're tired of corporate theater and want to roll up your sleeves to build something real with skin in the game, this could be the role for you. How to Apply Apply through this Indeed posting with your resume and a short cover note that includes: Why you're specifically interested in AngryPages Why you believe you'd be a strong fit A brief overview of your most relevant senior leadership / commercial experience Serious candidates only. We move fast.
