Join Vida Verde, a nonprofit that provides free overnight environmental education experiences to students from low-income communities across the Bay Area. For over 25 years, we've helped thousands of young people connect with nature, build confidence, and discover what's possible. We're seeking a mission-driven Chief Operations Officer (COO) to serve as a key organizational leader and strategic partner to the Executive Director. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of people leadership, operations, finance, and organizational strategy. As COO, you'll help lead a passionate team, oversee programs and staff, guide organizational growth, support financial sustainability, and ensure that our mission remains at the center of everything we do. We're looking for someone who: Has 5+ years of nonprofit or organizational leadership experience Excels at people management, coaching, and team development Is a strategic thinker and strong problem solver Can balance big-picture vision with day-to-day execution Is passionate about educational equity, youth development, and the outdoors Why Vida Verde?
