POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) owns the internal operating engine of Everbowl — responsible for building, managing, and continuously improving the systems, processes, and people that drive franchise unit performance, training effectiveness, supply chain reliability, and corporate store operations. The COO translates the President's strategic plans into structured operational programs, ensuring every franchisee has the tools, support, and accountability structures to succeed. This is an execution-focused role requiring deep operational discipline, systems thinking, and the ability to lead a lean, high-output team.
FRANCHISE OPERATIONS
Own end-to-end franchise operations performance — from unit opening readiness through ongoing operations support. Build and manage the Field Operations team (FBCs/Area Coaches); define visit cadence, audit frameworks, and coaching programs. Develop and enforce brand standards, operational SOPs, and compliance protocols across all 100+ franchise locations. Manage the franchisee support ticket system (Zendesk) and set resolution SLAs; identify recurring issues and address systemically. Own the unit economics monitoring program — track AUV, COGS, labor, and identify franchisees requiring intervention. Lead the franchise operations portion of Discovery Day presentations and onboarding programs. Partner with the President on franchisee escalations that require operational remediation or corrective action plans.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
Lead the Training department; develop and own the new franchisee onboarding program (pre-opening through 90 days). Build and maintain training curriculum across all roles: crew, shift lead, GM, franchisee, multi-unit operator. Oversee the Moxo franchisee portal — manage content, ensure training compliance, and track completion rates. Develop and deploy e-learning, video-based, and hands-on training materials aligned with brand standards. Create certification programs for GMs and franchisees tied to operational performance benchmarks. Manage Training department budget and measure ROI through operational performance improvements.
SUPPLY CHAIN & VENDOR MANAGEMENT
Own all vendor relationships for food, packaging, equipment, and key operational supplies. Negotiate system-wide pricing programs and ensure preferred vendor compliance across the franchise network. Monitor ingredient quality, sourcing consistency, and supplier performance metrics. Build procurement systems that protect the integrity of Everbowl's proprietary superfood base formulations. Manage new product launch logistics in coordination with Marketing — from supplier sourcing through franchisee rollout. Build contingency sourcing strategies to protect against supply disruption.
CORPORATE & COMPANY-OWNED OPERATIONS
Oversee performance of any company-owned or corporate-managed locations. Use corporate locations as operational incubators — test new products, SOPs, technology, and training programs before franchisee rollout. Manage corporate location P&L; hold General Managers accountable to AUV, COGS, and labor targets. Establish and enforce hiring, onboarding, and HR processes for corporate store teams.
TECHNOLOGY & SYSTEMS
Own operational technology stack — POS systems, inventory management, scheduling tools, and reporting dashboards. Identify and implement technology solutions that improve franchisee efficiency and reduce cost. Partner with the President and IT/tech resources to automate SOP creation, unit-level reporting, and franchisee communications. Ensure system-wide data integrity for sales reporting, food cost tracking, and labor analytics.
PEOPLE & TEAM LEADERSHIP
Hire, develop, and retain top operational talent; build bench strength across all operational departments. Conduct regular performance reviews; set departmental KPIs and hold teams accountable to delivery. Foster a Kaizen-driven culture of continuous improvement — reward innovation and proactive problem-solving. Manage operational department budgets with a lean, high-output mindset.
QUALIFICATIONS
8+ years of operations leadership experience in franchise, QSR, fast casual, or multi-unit food & beverage brands. Demonstrated ability to build and operationalize SOPs, training systems, and field support programs at scale. Proven experience managing supply chain, vendor negotiations, and procurement in a franchise environment. Strong systems thinker with experience implementing technology to improve operational efficiency. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and data-driven — comfortable with P&L analysis, unit economics, and KPI dashboards. Excellent people manager with experience leading cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams. Experience with franchise compliance, SOP enforcement, and field operations programs.
SUCCESS METRICS
Systemwide same-store sales growth and AUV improvement. Franchisee operational compliance scores and audit results. New franchisee onboarding cycle time and first-year performance benchmarks. COGS and labor benchmarks achieved across the network. Training completion rates and GM certification levels. Supply chain cost savings and vendor compliance rates. Operational department budget adherence.
