Workover Consultant ( 1 for fishing, and 1 for P&A operations)

Job Description This role provides senior-level technical consulting support for high-risk well intervention operations involving complex fishing, coiled tubing recovery, and wellbore re-entry activities. The consultant is responsible for managing challenging downhole conditions, including stuck or parted coiled tubing, long-term wellbore obstructions, and failed abandonment scenarios requiring cement drill-out and wellbore restoration. The position requires advanced well control expertise, strong decision-making ability, and extensive hands-on experience in fishing and intervention operations in critical well conditions. Responsibilities Provide expert technical guidance for complex fishing operations involving stuck or parted coiled tubing and downhole equipment Evaluate well conditions and develop safe, executable intervention and recovery strategies for high-risk scenarios Maintain continuous focus on well control integrity and barrier management throughout all operations Advise on pressure control, kill procedures, and safe operating practices during unstable or uncertain well conditions Support planning and execution of multiple well re-entry operations, including cement drill-out from surface to total depth Assess risks associated with trapped pressure, degraded tubing, unknown wellbore conditions, and long-term shut-in wells Provide real-time decision support during rig-based fishing, milling, and intervention activities Guide selection and application of fishing tools, milling assemblies, and wellbore cleanout equipment Ensure proper well control practices are followed without reliance on continuous supervision Support troubleshooting of stuck pipe, obstruction removal, and complex wellbore recovery operations Assist in preparing wells for subsequent abandonment or re-abandonment operations following remediation Review operational procedures and provide recommendations for safe execution of high-risk tasks Act as technical authority for intervention risk mitigation and operational sequencing Skills and Qualifications Extensive, demonstrated experience in coiled tubing intervention and advanced fishing operations Strong background in high-risk well control environments, including compromised or uncertain wellbores Deep hands-on expertise in recovering stuck or parted tubing and downhole obstructions Proven ability to independently manage well control situations without continuous supervision or instruction Extensive experience with well intervention, workover, and complex rig-based recovery operations Knowledge of cement drill-out, milling, and full wellbore re-entry operations Strong understanding of barrier management and pressure control principles Ability to assess and manage high-consequence operational risk in real time Experience working with long-duration shut-in or legacy wells with unknown downhole conditions Strong troubleshooting skills in complex, unstable, or unpredictable well environments Ability to make critical technical decisions under pressure in safety-sensitive environments Well control certification (IWCF or IADC) or equivalent field-proven expertise required Minimum extensive field experience in fishing, intervention, or workover operations (senior-level capability expected) Also need a workover for P&A operations
