Job Description:
ABOUT ALPINE
Alpine Energy Services is a Denver-based hydraulic fracturing and completions company on a clear growth path forecasting 100% growth in 2026 and ambitions for 100% growth in 2027
  • backed by committed capital and a leadership team that has built, scaled, and exited energy services businesses before.
We are not trying to be the biggest energy services company, but the most successful one through extreme service quality, a commitment to our customers, a high-performance team culture, and innovation. The quality of the team we build will determine our success so this is a critical role for the Company.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a senior commercial-and-engineering leadership role, deliberately defined to flex. Depending on the candidate's background and orientation, the title may be Vice President of Engineering or Vice President of Commercial Operations. What matters is the unusual combination of skills required. We are looking for someone who can walk into a completions team's office at a blue-chip operator and speak their technical and operational language credibly, sit across the table on frac design, fluid systems, real-time reporting, and post-job diagnostics. The successful candidate will be able to support Alpine's existing business development leader and mesh well in commercial facing discussion. This is not a bid-submitting BD seat, and it is not a back-office engineering role. It is a commercial leadership role in which technical depth is the thing that wins customers and keeps them. The role will scale as we do
  • leading a growing commercial and engineering function as Alpine continues is growth trajectory.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Own technical client engagement for both prospective and active accounts
  • frac design conversations, completions strategy reviews, post-job analytics, and on-pad problem solving.
  • Partner with the VP of Business Development on deal structuring and pricing working alongside the CEO and operations leadership
  • converting technical credibility into signed contracts that work for both sides.
  • Partner closely with operations leadership to ensure that what we sell is what we can deliver
  • and that what we deliver continues to evolve.
  • Drive innovation in completions: technology integration, frac design optimization, data-driven real-time and post-job analytics, operational technology deployment, and more.
  • Represent Alpine externally with operators, technical conferences, and industry partners
  • and help shape Alpine's voice in the industry.
  • Support the CEO's efforts to build out the commercial/engineering function as Alpine scales, including building the team you will eventually lead.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Technical fluency in hydraulic fracturing and completions
  • frac design, fluid systems, perforating, and post-job diagnostics. You don't need to be a research PhD; you do need to hold your own with a senior completions engineer at a top operator.
  • Service-side experience at some point in your career. Coming primarily from the E&P / operator side is welcome
  • that perspective is genuinely valuable here.
  • Strong commercial instincts
  • clear understanding of OFS economics, comfort discussing pricing, structuring contracts, and walking into a customer's procurement and technical teams in equal measure.
  • A real desire to innovate. This is the most important item on this list. We are building the most innovative frac company in the industry, and we want someone who finds the status quo of completions deeply unsatisfying
  • and who can do something about it.
  • Devotion to customer service. The technical and commercial skills get you in the door; how you treat customers is why they stay.
Bonus:
Experience with frac modeling software, modern data analytics tooling, process discipline, and recent commercial training (e.g., MBA) are all welcome but not required.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Market-competitive base salary commensurate with experience and the seniority of the role.
  • Meaningful equity participation in Alpine
  • this is a build-and-scale opportunity, and we want the person in this seat to share in the outcome.
  • Comprehensive executive benefits package (health, dental, vision, retirement).
  • Hybrid arrangement willingness to be in Denver consistently, with travel to fleet locations and customer sites as the work requires.
Candidates local to Denver or willing to relocate are preferred.
