Position Summary Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Vice President of Operations plays a critical leadership role in advancing operational excellence across Unity Health Care. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational functions, strengthening operational systems across health centers and DOC operations, and ensuring seamless coordination between clinical and non-clinical teams. The Vice President of Operations will support the COO in translating strategic initiatives into measurable operational outcomes while driving consistency, efficiency, quality improvement, and organizational performance across multiple service lines and locations. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations across health centers and DOC operations to ensure efficiency and alignment with organizational goals Partner with the Chief Medical Officer and operational leaders to integrate clinical and administrative workflows that support high-quality, patient-centered care Develop and lead high-performing operational teams focused on access, throughput, service delivery, and operational performance Direct facilities operations, environmental services, access control, and infrastructure functions to maintain safe and efficient healthcare environments Support long-term capital planning and infrastructure strategy in collaboration with the COO Provide operational oversight and support to pharmacy operations to ensure integrated and efficient services across health centers Collaborate with executive leadership to identify strategic partnerships, service enhancements, and revenue growth opportunities Partner with the CFO on operational analyses, program evaluations, and budget development initiatives Ensure operational compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and licensing requirements Implement and monitor systems that maintain high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence Lead outreach operations that support population health initiatives and strengthen community-based services Serve as a key operational contact for Managed Care Organizations and external partners Develop, monitor, and report operational KPIs related to efficiency, access, service delivery, cost management, and health center performance Strengthen team performance through coaching, leadership development, and performance management initiatives Represent the COO during meetings, operational engagements, and strategic initiatives as needed Perform additional operational and leadership duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Health, or related field required; Master s degree preferred Minimum of 8-10 years of healthcare operations experience preferred At least six (6) years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations Experience working within Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), nonprofit healthcare organizations, or mission-driven healthcare systems preferred Demonstrated success managing multi-site healthcare operations and complex organizational functions Strong operational, financial, analytical, and strategic planning skills Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive operational improvements Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership, clinical teams, and community stakeholders Why Join Unity?
