This position provides executive oversight across core operational functions and ensures alignment between operational capabilities, customer commitments, and long-term business objectives. The COO will provide leadership across manufacturing operations and related functional areas while driving efficiency, operational discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization. The ideal candidate brings a demonstrated history of steady progression of responsibility throughout their career and possesses significant executive leadership experience within contract manufacturing organizations supporting dietary supplements, nutritional products, food, skincare, and/or related manufacturing environments. This role is heavily operations-focused and requires a leader with deep manufacturing expertise, strong business instincts, and sound P&L knowledge to support operational and financial decision-making. Leadership Scope Provide executive leadership and oversight across Production, Supply Chain, Planning, Engineering, Maintenance, and related operational functions Lead, develop, mentor, and hold accountable department heads and senior operational leaders Build organizational structure and operational infrastructure capable of supporting continued growth and scale Promote a culture of accountability, urgency, ownership, and operational excellence Operational Responsibilities Direct and oversee operational performance including labor utilization, throughput, productivity, inventory strategy, scheduling, and capacity planning Establish, monitor, and drive key performance indicators across production, quality, service, labor, safety, and operational metrics Ensure alignment between customer expectations, production priorities, and operational capabilities Lead initiatives focused on process improvement, efficiency enhancement, waste reduction, and operational optimization Provide executive oversight of planning, scheduling, inventory management, and resource allocation activities Develop systems and processes that support scalable and sustainable business growth Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure efficient execution of business objectives and customer commitments Financial & Business Responsibilities Maintain strong understanding of P&L drivers and operational impacts affecting business performance Support operational decision-making through labor strategy, cost management, productivity improvements, and efficiency initiatives Partner with executive leadership regarding business strategy, capital planning, and long-range organizational initiatives Utilize operational and financial data to support sound business decisions Customer & External Leadership Serve as a customer-facing executive representative when required Confidently lead seamless facility tours, interaction with customer visits when necessary, participate in business reviews, and executive interactions Support key customer relationships through operations and provide executive escalation leadership as needed Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Minimum 10+ years of progressive senior leadership and/or executive experience within manufacturing organizations Required experience within contract manufacturing environments including CMO and/or CDMO organizations Industry experience within dietary supplements, nutritional products, food manufacturing, skincare/topicals, and/or related industries Proven oversight of complex manufacturing operations and cross-functional operational organizations Strong operational acumen with demonstrated understanding of P&L concepts and financial drivers Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, planning, scheduling, labor strategy, inventory management, and process improvement Experience establishing KPIs and building accountability structures Executive presence with the ability to influence at all organizational levels Core Leadership Competencies Operational leadership and manufacturing expertise Strategic thinking with strong execution capabilities High accountability and ownership mindset Strong organizational and decision-making skills Leadership presence and team development capability Ability to thrive within fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environments
