Job Description

  • Your Mission as Executive Director As the Executive Director, you will be the heartbeat of your community—guiding operations, leading a compassionate team, and ensuring excellence in every detail.
You'll represent the Legacy mission to families, employees, residents, and your local community, stewarding the high trust placed in our care. This role is both strategic and relational. You'll balance budgets and occupancy with integrity, but your greatest success will be measured in trust built, lives enriched, and a community that feels like home.
  • What You'll Lead Resident Experience & Customer Satisfaction Champion a culture of hospitality, compassion, and excellence in all resident interactions Maintain resident well-being through oversight of clinical, operational, and hospitality functions Build strong, proactive relationships with families—facilitating care plan meetings and communication around changing needs Personally engage with residents to ensure satisfaction, safety, and connection Uphold Legacy's standards for care, respect, and individual dignity Community Operations & Strategic Leadership Lead day-to-day operations to ensure regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and quality outcomes Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial stewardship—aligning with occupancy and performance goals Collaborate with the Regional Support Team and Home Office on reporting, strategy, and initiatives Serve as the primary decision-maker for resident move-ins and move-outs Represent the community to local referral sources, civic groups, and the broader community Team Leadership & Talent Development Hire, coach, and retain a high-performing team dedicated to Legacy's mission Build a culture of servant leadership, trust, and accountability Promote team morale through recognition programs, employee engagement, and regular feedback Conduct performance reviews and support career growth for department heads and team members Ensure all staff receive required training and support ongoing compliance and development Respond to and resolve team concerns with fairness and professionalism•Who You Are A values-driven leader with a passion for serving older adults Proven experience in senior living operations or healthcare management (Assisted Living/Memory Care preferred) Skilled in budgeting, compliance, team leadership, and relationship management Comfortable balancing day-to-day operations with long-term planning Able to foster a culture of excellence, purpose, and accountability Must meet state licensure requirements and pass background and drug screening•Why Legacy?
