Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Building Products Manufacturing A leading U.S.-based manufacturer in the building products industry is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its executive leadership team. This executive will oversee multi-site manufacturing operations and lead operational strategy across production, supply chain, engineering, technical operations, and financial integration. The role is based in Alexandria, Louisiana and requires an onsite leadership presence. This is a high-impact opportunity for a hands-on operational leader who thrives in complex manufacturing environments and can drive modernization, scalability, and performance improvement across multiple facilities. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations across manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and logistics Oversee multiple U.S. manufacturing plants with a strong focus on safety, throughput, cost control, and product quality Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Strengthen KPI reporting, operational forecasting, and financial visibility across operations Partner closely with commercial leadership to align production with customer demand Support operational coordination across extrusion, fabrication, powder coating, and assembly processes Develop and mentor plant leadership teams while building succession pipelines Serve as a strategic operational partner to the CEO and executive team Ideal Background 15+ years of progressive manufacturing operations leadership experience Proven success leading multi-plant operations environments Strong operational finance acumen with the ability to translate metrics into strategy and execution Experience within building products, metals, plastics, fabrication, or related industrial manufacturing sectors preferred Deep understanding of supply chain management, engineering operations, quality systems, and safety programs Collaborative leadership style with executive presence and plant-floor credibility Location Alexandria, Louisiana (onsite leadership presence required) Interested?
