Job Description

Essential Responsibilities Operational Oversight Direct daily operations across deposit operations, loan operations, teller support, electronic banking, and back‑office functions. Oversee processing of ACH, wires, check clearing, account maintenance, overdrafts, and exception items. Serve as a primary administrator for the bank's core system (e.g., Horizon) and related platforms. Ensure strong internal controls, accurate processing, and timely resolution of operational issues. Risk Management & Compliance Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, including Reg CC, Reg E, BSA/AML, OFAC, UCC, and NACHA. Partner with Compliance and Audit to prepare for exams, address findings, and maintain documentation. Oversee fraud monitoring, dispute resolution, and risk mitigation processes. Ensure policies and procedures are current, effective, and consistently followed. Process Improvement & Technology Evaluate and streamline operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce risk. Lead or support implementation of new systems, digital banking enhancements, and process automation. Collaborate with IT and vendors to optimize system performance and resolve issues. Maintain and update SOPs, training materials, and operational documentation. Leadership & Team Development Manage and mentor operations staff, promoting accountability, cross‑training, and professional growth. Set performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and foster a positive, service‑oriented culture. Work closely with branch leadership to support frontline operations and resolve escalated issues. Customer & Internal Support Provide guidance to branches and departments on operational questions, complex transactions, and system usage. Ensure timely and accurate support for customers related to deposit services, online banking, and account issues. Promote a culture of exceptional service across all operational functions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of banking operations experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong understanding of banking regulations, core systems, and payment networks. Experience in a community bank environment strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects, and improve processes. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Experience Familiarity with Horizon or similar core banking systems. Experience with digital banking platforms, treasury services, and payment systems. Background in vendor management and system conversions or upgrades. Strong aptitude for process redesign and operational efficiency.
Pay:
$60,950.78 - $98,220.29 per year
