General Managers Position Summary:
The Area Director will be responsible for the overall performance of a designated group of restaurants. This role will focus on driving sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction while ensuring operational excellence and team development.
Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
Provide strategic leadership and support to General Managers within the assigned area. Conduct regular site visits to assess restaurant performance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with company standards. Monitor key performance indicators, including sales, profitability, guest satisfaction, and employee engagement. Develop and implement action plans to address operational challenges and improve performance. Ensure consistent execution of brand standards and service protocols. Responsible for budget attainment within your region.
Team Leadership and Development:
Recruit, hire, and onboard high-performing General Managers and support FOH management hiring. Provide ongoing training and development to General Managers and their teams. Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement. Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts effectively.
Financial Management:
Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales, costs, and profitability. Develop and implement strategies to improve financial performance. Assist General Managers with budgeting, forecasting, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with all financial policies and procedures.
Guest Experience:
Ensure a positive and memorable dining experience for all guests. Respond to guest feedback and complaints promptly and effectively. Identify and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience. Promote the brand and build strong relationships with the local community.
Position Requirements:
Travel to restaurants as needed and at least 75% of your work week Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skill and the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. Must be flexible and able to manage multiple projects with a strong attention to detail. Must be self-motivated, results driven, able to handle multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment, flexible, willingness to understand the business, and possess proven organization and critical thinking skills.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive restaurant operations experience, including at least 3 years of multi-unit leadership (Area/District Manager level or comparable). Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience overseeing 4-8 restaurant locations, including full P&L accountability and proven achievement of sales, labor, and food-cost targets. Strong financial acumen, including the ability to read and act on P&L statements and drive EBITDA and budget performance across multiple units. Experience supporting new restaurant openings, remodels, and market expansion preferred. Proven track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing General Managers and restaurant teams. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to restaurants as needed (at least 75% of the work week). Pay:
$115,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
