As the Integrator you will shape long-term growth, drive operational excellence, and build a legacy of quality and service for years to come. Detailed Duties and Responsibilities 1. Strategic Leadership & Execution Partner with the Visionary/CEO to clarify and communicate the company vision, core values, and long-term strategic goals. Convert strategic initiatives into actionable, measurable quarterly Rocks for each department. Lead and facilitate weekly Level 10 meetings for the leadership team to ensure focus, accountability, and results. Drive annual and quarterly planning sessions, ensuring goals, strategies, and KPIs are clear and achievable. Align departmental goals with financial and operational expectations to maintain company growth targets. Resolve cross-functional issues effectively acting as the "tiebreaker" and ensuring swift, data-driven decisions. 2. Operations Management Oversee daily operations across landscape installation, maintenance, enhancements, and irrigation divisions. Ensure projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Collaborate with the Operations Director to optimize resource allocation and job scheduling efficiency. Ensure service delivery meets or exceeds client expectations and contract commitments. Implement and monitor operational systems to improve job costing accuracy, labor productivity, and material management. Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs) across divisions. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices. 3. Financial Performance & Profitability Own the overall company P&L performance and drive profitability across all business units. Work with the CFO/Controller to prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial dashboards. Track revenue, gross margin, and overhead performance by division. Identify cost-saving opportunities through operational efficiencies and process improvements. Oversee bidding and estimating standards to ensure alignment with target profit margins. Review and approve major capital expenditures, subcontractor agreements, and vendor contracts. Lead initiatives to improve cash flow and minimize receivables aging. 4. People Leadership & Team Development Build, lead, and mentor a strong leadership team capable of supporting growth and profitability targets. Implement accountability systems to ensure that department heads meet KPIs and cultural standards. Foster a culture of respect, accountability, and teamwork consistent with company core values. Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and training programs in partnership with HR. Conduct performance reviews for direct reports and guide managers in doing the same with their teams. Champion safety culture company-wide; ensure all employees comply with safety policies and report incidents promptly. Drive leadership development and succession planning to ensure organizational depth. 5. Sales & Business Development Alignment Support the Sales/BD team in developing pricing strategies and proposal standards. Ensure operational capacity aligns with incoming sales and contract volume. Monitor job backlog, pipeline, and staffing needs relative to sales forecasts. Participate in major client meetings, pre-bid conferences, and high-value project negotiations. Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, general contractors, and property owners. Evaluate customer retention data and implement corrective actions to improve client satisfaction. 6. Systems, Processes & Technology Champion process improvement and incorporation of technology to streamline workflows. Oversee implementation and utilization of business management software (e.g., Aspire, LMN, or similar). Ensure accurate and timely data collection for job costing, labor tracking, and reporting. Develop dashboard reporting for key company metrics (e.g., revenue, margin, client satisfaction, backlog, safety incidents). Standardize reporting formats across departments for data-driven decision-making. Protect company assets and ensure sound risk management practices. 7. Communication & Cross-Departmental Coordination Maintain clear communication between operations, sales, finance, and administrative departments. Ensure critical information (budgets, schedules, job performance data) flows freely and effectively. Hold leaders accountable for resolving interdepartmental bottlenecks quickly. Represent company interests in community, industry, and association events when appropriate.
