This role leads the insurance support team, builds and improves processes, and partners closely with agents to ensure policies are processed correctly, deadlines are met, and clients are served at a high level. The ideal candidate brings precision, ownership, and a team-first mindset to create clarity, reduce risk, and support scalable growth. Job Responsibilities Owns the precision, structure, and execution that keep the crop insurance operation running smoothly. Accountable for accuracy and compliance across the entire policy lifecycle, from submission through reporting, while protecting both clients and the business from risk. Builds, documents, and continuously improves core processes to create consistency, reduce friction, and eliminate last-minute fire drills. Defines success through clear workflows, reliable tracking, and systems that scale as the business grows. Serves as a people leader and connector, leading and developing the insurance support team with clear expectations, accountability, and ownership. Acts as a key partner to agents and carriers, strengthening collaboration and communication. Trains agents on processes and deadlines, coordinates across stakeholders, and proactively resolves issues. Enables agents to operate confidently and stay focused on serving clients. Delivers measurable impact within 12 months, including accurate policies, calmly met deadlines, a confident team, better-prepared agents, and an organization that operates with clarity instead of urgency. Job Qualifications Experience leading or mentoring a team (formal or informal) Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Comfortable working in systems, spreadsheets, and operational workflows Preferred (not required): Experience working with carriers and reporting systems 3-5+ years in crop insurance, ag operations, or a related field Strong understanding of crop insurance policies, timelines, and compliance requirements #ZelleG
