System & The Helix Front End System & FIS Phase3 ACG Consultancy New York, NY Job Details Full-time $150,000 - $200,000 a year 20 hours ago Qualifications Employee relationship building Full Job Description Our client A Fixed Income Broker Dealer is seeking a Director in Fixed Income/Fed Settlements to manage their growing team of fixed income specialists to join their growing team. This is a full-time opportunity located in Connecticut. This is an onsite role.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize in-depth knowledge of Impact and BNY BDC systems to ensure the timely settlement of client transactions. Utilize Helix system for systems processing. Monitor the firm's liquidity to mitigate potential overdraft charges within BNY. Track failed transactions (TMPG) and proactively follow up with counterparties to ensure fund settlements. Oversee client FICC activities and manage uncompared transactions, ensuring alignment with fund settlement requirements. Coordinate with clients' trading desks on collateral movements across various BNY accounts. Identify and mitigate risks associated with high-value trades to minimize operational exposure. Escalate operational issues or client complaints to senior management as necessary. Foster strong working relationships with internal teams and clients' trading desks to ensure seamless operations. Perform additional duties or responsibilities as required to support team and organizational goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Fed Settlement operations. Comprehensive understanding of Impact and BNY BDC systems. Familiarity with reconciliation processes between BNY and Impact. Deep knowledge of TMPG and FICC processes, including CFM.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong functional and technical expertise in systems like Impact, BNY BDC, and FICC. Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic environment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a capacity to navigate complex operational challenges. Solid understanding of Fed Settlement operations, products, and processes. Proven ability to recognize high-risk items and escalate appropriately to mitigate losses or breaks.
