Job Description

The Travel product team delivers innovative travel experiences, enabling customers to realize their travel aspirations through Chase Travel. We are seeking a Vice Present to lead Business Strategy & Operations, responsible for setting strategic direction, overseeing business management functions, and driving high-impact projects that enables the team to be successful. This executive role requires a visionary leader with experience in business strategy, operational leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. You will partner with senior leaders across Product, Technology, Design, Finance, Analytics, and Recruiting to ensure alignment with organizational goals and delivering measurable results. As a Vice President, Business Strategy and Operations within Chase Travel, you will be accountable for the end-to-end management of strategic operations, organizational effectiveness, and team culture. You will lead a team, mentor talent, and serve as a key advisor to senior leadership. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, exceptional communicator, and proven operator with a track record of leading complex initiatives at scale. Job Responsibilities Set and execute the strategic vision for business management and operations, aligning objectives with broader business goals. Oversee the book of work, including capacity and prioritization planning, and act as liaison with the card product office and Finance for business cases and intellectual property mapping. Oversee, prepare, and deliver executive communications—including EMRs, business reviews, OKR management, status tracking for all rewards portfolio projects, and strategic updates—to senior executives. Develop a well-understood narrative of the travel product's strategy and vision, and draft team-wide and enterprise-level communications to ensure transparency, alignment, and collaboration. Lead headcount and resource planning in partnership with Finance, including BAU and acceleration hiring Oversee and drive talent management processes, including year-end reviews, ratings and compensation, promotion decisions, skillset inventory, guidelines for ratings, VP/ED platform management, and key hiring activities. Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture by strengthening connections within the Rewards team and across the quad, while managing employee opinion surveys, guiding principles, training, recognition and awards, and onboarding experience/resources to boost engagement and enrich the employee experience. Lead and facilitate quad leadership team offsites and organization-wide town halls. Identify and implement operational efficiencies, process improvements, and best practices to drive productivity and performance across teams. Manage team's Office Hours, distribution lists, and team Confluence site. Direct, oversee, and support special and ad hoc strategic and operational projects spanning product and technology, ensuring successful delivery of key business priorities and initiatives. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills 5+ years of relevant experience in business strategy, operations, and project leadership within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, business management, and operational leadership at scale. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders. Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to executive audiences. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating integrity, accountability, and sound judgment. Flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities and proactively identify opportunities for improvement. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft suite (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint), Confluence, and other collaboration tools. Bachelor's degree required. Preferred Qualifications MBA or advanced degree preferred Experience leading business strategy and operations in financial services. Track record of driving organizational transformation and operational excellence. Strong analytical, writing, and presentation abilities. Experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
