Job Description:
  • Chief Operations Officer
  • Automation Machinery Manufacturing
  • We are working with a well-established automation machinery manufacturing company that is seeking a Chief Operations Officer to help lead the organization through its next phase of growth.
With more than 60 years of success and a strong reputation in advanced manufacturing and engineered systems, the company is looking for an operational leader who can align engineering and manufacturing operations to drive efficiency, execution, and scalable growth. This is an on-site, full-time role in Rochester, NY.
Compensation:
$300k+
Role Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee company operations across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and project execution
  • Create alignment between engineering and manufacturing teams to improve communication, workflow, and execution
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, delivery, and profitability
  • Build scalable processes, systems, and KPIs to support continued growth
  • Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning and organizational development
  • Improve cross-functional coordination to ensure projects move efficiently from design through production and delivery
Role Requirements:
  • Extensive operations leadership experience within industrial manufacturing, automation, engineered systems, or related industries
  • Proven ability to oversee and optimize both engineering and manufacturing operations
  • Demonstrated success improving operational efficiency, workflow integration, and cross-functional execution
  • Strong leadership background managing engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and project execution teams
  • Experience implementing scalable operational processes, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Ability to align engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless project execution from design through production
  • Strong financial and business acumen with experience managing budgets, margins, and operational performance
  • Executive-level communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across the organization
