PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Oversee strategic planning and continuous process improvement for all aspects of operations, including production, fulfillment, inventory management, distribution, supply chain, and facilities. Maximize efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Work closely with the Controller and other members of the accounting team to capture and analyze financial information to evaluate past performance and inform strategic decisions and plans. Guide ERP system best practices to capture accurate and complete data efficiently at the source. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Operations Leadership:
  • Scale operational capacity for a fast-growing company scaling to $100M+ to meet three-to-five-year business growth targets.
  • Set production volumes and adjust as needed to meet changing market dynamics.
  • Establish budgets with corporate leadership and allocate resources effectively to meet goals.
  • Maintain high-quality output in a safe, positive work environment that meets or exceeds Global Food Safety Initiative standards.
  • Safeguard people, process, and property by developing and enforcing standard operating procedures.
  • Evaluate and employ automation, tools, and equipment to meet growing production, packaging, and fulfillment needs.
  • Streamline processes and procedures to yield improved efficiency and bottom-line results.
  • Oversee the Supply Chain, and Production/Fulfillment roles. Negotiate favorable pricing and terms with vendors and partners. Review, approve, and enforce contractual commitments with co-manufacturers. Represent Company needs in contract negotiations.
  • Ensure all products meet both PPFC quality and industry standards. Take necessary precautions to prevent recall and adhere to industry requirements for product safety.
  • Make critical decisions about facility use. Direct expansion and/or repurposing of leased spaces needed.
  • Routinely evaluate make vs. buy decisions about production and fulfillment. Lead expansion of co-manufacturing and possible 3PL relationships to keep the Company on pace with high-growth sales demand.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and hold employees accountable for outcomes.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless operations within the company while addressing the challenges of rapid growth.
  • Set and track KPIs to evaluate and improve operational success.
  • Oversee certifications for all production facilities and successful achievement of Safe Quality Food (SQF} certification.
ERP for
Manufacturing:
  • Lead NetSuite system uses and improvements from an operations management perspective.
  • Partner with Accounting to optimize NetSuite system functionality and reliability.
Strategic Support to the
CEO:
  • Be a thought partner and execution engine for the CEO's highest priority initiatives.
  • Own projects from whiteboard to completion.
  • As a key contributor, communicate with trust and respect to facilitate the continued success of a lean, high-performance leadership team.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in operations management or equivalent combination of completed coursework and on-the-job experience.
Experience:
Minimum five years of leading operations of a $30M+ food manufacturing company, preferably in a fast-growth environment. Familiarity with lean manufacturing practice, Global Food Safety Initiatives, and regulatory standards e.g., SQF certification.
Skills:
Proficiency with ERP implementation and ongoing use. Knowledge of cost-accounting fundamentals applied in consumer products manufacturing. Expert in information system tools used to track products for recall and consumer safety. Experience integrating with new equipment and software to achieve process improvement goals.
Pay:
$150,000.00 per year
