Director of Infrastructure - Direct Hire Hybrid;

$160,000 to $180,000 per year, plus a very strong benefits package Position Summary Our client is seeking a Director of Infrastructure to lead enterprise IT infrastructure operations from their RiNo Neighborhood location on a hybrid schedule. This strategic and operationally focused leader is responsible for the delivery, performance, and continuous improvement of enterprise infrastructure services spanning Enterprise Network Operations, Enterprise Systems Operations, and Database Administration. As a leader within the Shared Services IT organization, the Director ensures infrastructure services are reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with the needs of the business and its operations. The role directs a team of experienced senior managers and individual contributors while driving operational efficiency, service excellence, and process optimization. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic oversight for the enterprise-wide delivery and support of infrastructure services, including network, systems, and database operations. Ensure high availability, performance, and resilience of infrastructure platforms through continuous monitoring, exemplary service request/incident management, and proactive maintenance. Drive continuous improvement of operational processes and service delivery models through the development and execution of runbooks, playbooks, and SOPs. Establish and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and operational metrics, leveraging data analytics and performance management tools and developing business cases for tooling investment as needed. Provide strategic direction, coaching, and mentorship to a team of senior managers and individual contributors across multiple infrastructure domains. Recommend staffing levels, allocate resources, and set departmental priorities. Provide strategic oversight for infrastructure-impacting projects, including enterprise initiatives, capital expansions, and M&A integrations. Foster cross-functional collaboration between enterprise IT, local IT teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful execution of technology initiatives. Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements, partnering with IT Security, Compliance & Privacy and participating in audits, risk assessments, and business continuity planning. Maintain accountability for operational budgets, forecasting, and cost optimization, and oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and service performance. Required Qualifications Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with progression through increasingly complex environments and breadth of functional and supervisory responsibility, plus a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience that includes managing other managers. Demonstrated experience leading large, distributed enterprise IT infrastructure operations teams spanning multiple functional domains, with a proven ability to lead and develop people managers. Expert knowledge of data center infrastructure operations, including regional colocation and distributed/edge-compute models. Advanced knowledge of cloud computing strategy (public/private/hybrid), PaaS, SaaS, and service management, including financial modeling of cloud versus on-premise deployments. Advanced knowledge of virtualization, hypervisor management, automation, and orchestration, including hands-on experience implementing and managing HCI environments. Functional knowledge of Active Directory Domain Services and Windows ancillary services (group policy, certificate authority/PKI, DNS), as well as Microsoft Entra ID / M365 and hybrid identity and access environments. Functional knowledge of wide area networking, software-defined networking, load balancing, proxies, switches, routers, firewalls, and network monitoring, plus experience managing SQL Server database administration functions. Strong knowledge of ITIL practices and operational frameworks, and functional knowledge of regulatory compliance standards such as PCI, SOX, GDPR, and CCPA. Excellent verbal and written communication skills across a wide range of audiences, plus a proven track record of vendor management, negotiation, budgeting, procurement, and forecasting; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) MBA or equivalent experience. Experience in infrastructure operations within hospitality, resort, or outdoor sports and recreation environments. Experience with mergers and acquisitions. ITIL v3 or v4 Foundations certification. Broad industry certifications such as CDCP, CDCS, CGEIT, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or CISM.
