Arizona Summary Regional Directors for Cohere are organizational leaders who apply their expertise in community association management, leadership, and operational strategy to ensure the communities under their direction operate optimally and in alignment with annual business plans and company objectives. Reporting to the Regional Vice President, the Regional Director (RD) is responsible for leading dynamic, professional teams that execute across all disciplines, including operations, governance, engagement, communications, financial management, and resident experience delivery. The RD is responsible not only for community performance, but also for leadership development, operational consistency, organizational alignment, and the successful execution of Cohere's integrated service model. As the aspirational and relational leader for the people under their management, the RD translates vision into execution, builds operational accountability, develops talent, strengthens client partnerships, and ensures community and company success through every phase of the client life cycle. Collaboration is foundational to our work. The RD is responsible for fostering alignment within and among on-site teams, corporate departments, and operational disciplines to ensure cohesive service delivery and an exceptional resident and client experience. The RD is passionate about community building and believes that lives are made better when people are connected and communities are intentionally built and cared for with residents in mind. As an advocate for Cohere's mission and approach, the RD actively supports long-term growth, client satisfaction, and strategic opportunities where Cohere's integrated model can be fully realized. Scope Provide strategic leadership for the day-to-day management of communities and clients within the assigned region; guide, support, and develop Directors, Executive Directors, and on-site teams in delivering integrated, high-performing community operations. Create and maintain a culture of accountability, ownership, responsiveness, collaboration, and operational excellence across all communities within the region. Own regional operational performance, key KPIs, and execution of strategic initiatives across the assigned region. Monitor performance through reporting rhythms, inspections, operational reviews, and accountability structures while partnering with the Regional Vice President to identify operational trends, risks, staffing needs, and opportunities for improvement. Lead all aspects of Cohere's integrated service model within the region, ensuring operations, governance, engagement, communications, financial management, and resident experience strategies work cohesively to support vibrant, connected, high-performing communities. In collaboration with on-site teams, review annual budgets, staffing models, and strategic plans; track and monitor goals; and ensure business plans are executed in alignment with governing documents, defined scopes of work, operational priorities, and approved budgets. Partner with community leadership teams to proactively identify operational risks, staffing gaps, communication breakdowns, and opportunities for stabilization and improvement. Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop community leaders through practical leadership guidance, accountability, leadership meetings, and ongoing operational support. Build trusted relationships with boards, clients, developers, and strategic partners through proactive communication, transparency, responsiveness, and consistent follow-through. Establish regular communication and feedback rhythms that strengthen trust, identify concerns early, align strategic priorities, and support long-term community success. Lead and support community onboarding, transition, stabilization, and operational implementation efforts across the region. Translate strategic priorities into executable operational plans and step into leadership gaps when necessary to support teams, resolve escalated challenges, and ensure continuity of service delivery. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure integrated service delivery, organizational alignment, operational consistency, and compliance with applicable laws and governing requirements. Contribute to company-wide operational improvements, systems implementation, leadership initiatives, and scalable business practices that support long-term organizational growth. In partnership with the Regional Vice President, assist in the development of proposals, RFP responses, presentations, and other business development initiatives. Identify and nurture strategic relationships that support Cohere's mission, client relationships, operational goals, and market growth. Engage in relevant professional associations and trade groups that support professional development, industry involvement, organizational visibility, and relationship-building opportunities. Participate in Cohere Councils of Excellence and engage in ongoing personal and professional development aimed at expanding leadership effectiveness, operational capabilities, and passion for the work. Seek out service and leadership opportunities among nonprofit, philanthropic, and community-serving organizations that positively reflect Cohere's mission and values. Knowledge | Experience Minimum of 10 years of experience in community-based organizations, community operations, governance, nonprofit leadership, hospitality, community development, or related industries required. Direct experience working in community association management or homeowners' association governance required. Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, marketing, hospitality, organizational leadership, association management, or related field preferred. Professional certification(s) through Community Associations Institute (CAI) highly desirable. 7-10 Years of experience supervising and developing professional staff and leadership teams required. Experience working with boards of directors, volunteers, developers, municipalities, and community stakeholders preferred. Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, operational planning, staffing analysis, and strategic management required. Background in communications, engagement, marketing, public relations, or community development beneficial. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to lead strategically while remaining operationally engaged and execution-oriented. Work Environment The Regional Director should expect to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays as operational needs require. Travel throughout the assigned region is required and may occasionally include overnight stays. Must maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. May occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and remain on-site for extended periods during meetings, events, or operational support activities.
