Job Description

OVERVIEW
Provides operational leadership and support to the day-to-day operations of PAR (includes related organizations) to further the organizations' missions. Provides oversight in relation to processes, policies and procedures, staff, and contractor supervision, for finance, facility, information technology, and human resources. Point person for PAR's contracted vendors. Provides for the needs of employees and members. Demonstrates an awareness and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of individuals with intellectual disability and autism as well as the interest of PAR's membership. Works with the PAR team to accomplish the PAR Strategic Plan goals, and thereby improve the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and autism and direct support professionals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures all operational aspects of PAR run smoothly and are effective in supporting the work necessary to accomplish the mission of PAR. Acts as PAR's compliance officer ensuring and monitoring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements as well as internal policies and procedures. Develops and reviews on an annual basis operational systems, policies and procedures for compliance and best practices. Ensures association management system (AMS) and PAR website, including database, functionality with minimal downtime. Ensures content, database and graphics are updated and current. Supervises Administrative Assistant. Conducts operations team meetings to communicate and train staff on operational matters including but not limited to AMS, website, IT, compliance matters, policies, and procedures. Serves as the primary contact for information technology (IT) and an IT resource for staff and members relative to PAR's technology that they interface with. Acts as a liaison with outsourced IT consultants on all technology-related issues, including rapidly responding to staff issues and network outages, and keeping information systems up to date and operating efficiently. Evaluates new technology for applicability and usefulness within PAR. Provides technical assistance for webinars, meetings, trainings, and conference. Serves as the point person and provides oversight for insurance renewals. Solves work related problems with the use of technology to increase operational efficiency. Serves as a point person and provides oversight on human resources, information technology and financial support services. Maintains and ensures appropriate confidentiality of employee records. Oversees payroll and employee travel & expense reimbursement processing. Maintains filing systems for corporate records and other documents. Performs compensation analysis. Serves as administrator of PAR's employee benefits. Serves as administrator of PAR's electronic cloud file system. Oversees PAR's accounts receivable and payable. Coordinates the annual financial audit. Coordinates the annual budgeting and supporting spreadsheet process for the President & CEO. Negotiates the agreements with PAR's contracted vendors, serves as the ongoing liaison and monitors the communications and effectiveness of the agreements. (e.g. lease agreement, phones, IT) Reviews and administers all contracts. Manages PAR's facility needs including overseeing current facility needs and leading any facility relocations. Develops and implements employee onboarding and separation policies and procedures. Coordinates and manages all operations related projects and tasks for efficient and effective outcomes. Coordinates the activities of the Conference Committee and PAR staff toward a successful conference. Assists with non-conference events and program preparation, planning and execution. Assists with PAC compliance assurance and operations. Identifies problems in operational processes and resolves them in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred Valid Driver's License Strong communication skills, both written and oral are required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy are required. Some travel required May be required to lift up to 25 pounds
