Position Summary The Vice President, Operations and Analytics will serve as the organization's principal architect and steward of data-driven execution and technology. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, this leader will transform organizational data, systems, and technology into actionable insight and high-impact operations — while ensuring that our performance story is told compellingly to funders, partners, boards, and the communities we serve. This role exists to ensure that strategy is consistently and effectively executed through disciplined implementation and rigorous analysis. The VP will build and lead a team of analytics and operations professionals, managing at least one direct report to start, and will serve as a cross-functional leader across the organization.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Execution and Partnership Serve as the Chief Strategy Officer's primary operational and analytic partner, translating organizational strategy into executable systems and measurable outcomes Manage and support planning and adaptation through data-informed analysis, ensuring strategic priorities are tracked, resourced, and adjusted in response to evidence Partner with senior leadership to advance a sustained culture of learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement across the organization Data, Analytics, and Impact Insight Generation Lead development of integrated analytics systems that unify quantitative and qualitative data sources into a single organizational view Design and maintain dashboards, performance tools, and reporting infrastructure that make data accessible and actionable at every level of the organization Apply AI-enabled analytics to surface patterns, generate predictions, and accelerate insight generation Build experimentation frameworks that test program and platform innovations with rigor and speed Ensure all performance data is disaggregated by race, income, geography, and other equity dimensions — and partner with program leaders to identify and address outcome disparities Technology and Systems Management Oversee enterprise systems and data infrastructure, ensuring interoperability, security, and scalability across all platforms Manage vendor relationships including MSP for internal IT needs; evaluate and negotiate contracts to maximize organizational value Lead technology roadmap planning in alignment with organizational strategy and budget External Impact Reporting and Stakeholder Communication Lead preparation of data and analytics for funder reports, board presentations, government partner updates, and public-facing impact publications Collaborate in translating complex organizational data into compelling external narratives that advance fundraising, policy, and partnership goals Collaborate with development and external affairs teams to align data collection and reporting infrastructure with funder requirements and grant compliance needs Build and maintain relationships with peer organizations, research partners, and evaluation consultants to strengthen the organization's external credibility and learning agenda Performance Management and Process Improvement Design and manage organization-wide performance systems and KPIs that connect daily operations to long-term mission outcomes Lead AI automation initiatives across the organization to achieve greater efficiency and mission impact Lead process improvement initiatives, applying structured methodologies to eliminate waste and increase organizational effectiveness Team Leadership and Organizational Capacity Building Build, manage, and develop a high-performing analytics and operations team, including supervision of at least one direct report with expectations for additional growth over time Set clear performance expectations, provide regular coaching and feedback, and invest in the professional development of team members Foster organization-wide data literacy through training, tools, and a culture that treats evidence as a core organizational asset Manage departmental budget including technology, vendor contracts, and staff resources; develop annual operating plans aligned with organizational priorities You have: 10+ years of relevant leadership experience, including at least 3 years managing cross-functional teams or direct reports in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment Deep analytics expertise: demonstrated ability to design and manage integrated data systems, performance frameworks, and impact measurement infrastructure AI and technology fluency: proven experience applying AI-enabled analytics, automation tools, and enterprise systems to advance organizational goals Track record of external communication: experience presenting data and impact findings to boards, funders, government agencies, or public audiences with clarity and confidence Equity-centered practice: demonstrated experience using disaggregated data to identify disparities and partnering with program or policy teams to drive more equitable outcomes Strong alignment with Leading Edge's mission and values , particularly regarding sector-wide talent, leadership, and workplace culture advancement.You are:

This is a full-time exempt position, with a salary between $150,000 - $165,000 and commensurate with experience.
