About the Role Matter Health is seeking a VP, Operations Strategy & Execution to help scale operational performance, workforce strategy, and enterprise execution across a rapidly growing healthcare organization. This executive leadership role partners closely with clinical, operational, HR, finance, and executive leadership teams to support sustainable growth, operational excellence, and an exceptional patient and employee experience. This role will lead strategic operational initiatives, drive accountability across markets and departments, support workforce planning and process optimization, and help build scalable infrastructure as Matter Health continues to expand. This role operates in close partnership with the VP, Clinical Affairs within Matter Health's dyad operating model. Clinical leadership owns care standards, clinical workflows, and care delivery protocols, while this role leads operational execution, workflow optimization, staffing operations, centralized care operations services, and technology adoption. Both leaders share accountability for patient experience, care coordination effectiveness, and operational execution. Although this role is remote, candidates based in Tennessee or nearby regions are strongly preferred due to occasional in-person leadership meetings and market travel. What You'll Do Lead operational strategy and enterprise execution initiatives across multiple markets and departments Build scalable operational processes, workflows, and accountability structures to support organizational growth Partner cross-functionally with clinical, operational, finance, HR, recruiting, and executive leadership teams Drive workforce planning, operational readiness, staffing coordination, and process optimization initiatives Develop and monitor operational KPIs, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics Support operational consistency and execution across field-based and centralized teams Lead change management and operational improvement initiatives in a fast-paced healthcare environment Help strengthen organizational communication, alignment, and execution across departments Foster a collaborative, mission-driven culture focused on accountability, service, and patient impact Qualifications 7+ years of healthcare operations leadership experience Experience supporting multi-site, field-based, or high-growth healthcare operations Strong operational strategy, process improvement, and organizational leadership experience Experience partnering cross-functionally with executive and clinical leadership teams Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with competing priorities Passion for improving healthcare access and serving underserved communities Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred Strongly Preferred Experience in value-based care, population health, primary care, or community-based healthcare Experience building operational infrastructure within growing healthcare organizations Familiarity with workforce planning, staffing operations, onboarding workflows, and operational performance management Startup, scaling, or high-growth healthcare organization experience Why Matter Health We believe that where someone lives should never determine the care they receive.
