Job Description:
Position Summary The Vice President of Operations will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for our warehouse workflows and driver fleet. In this executive role, you will drive supply chain efficiency, enforce rigorous safety and compliance standards, manage multi-million dollar operational budgets, and build a high-performing logistics team. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will champion a culture of continuous improvement to optimize cash flow, boost productivity, and secure long-term corporate profitability.
Key Responsibilities Fleet & Logistics Management:
Oversee the driver fleet, including driver recruitment, training, performance, and truck leasing agreements, while ensuring strict adherence to DOT safety and regulatory requirements.
Warehouse Workflow Optimization:
Formulate and execute standard operating procedures that maximize warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and overall facility productivity.
Financial Oversight & Budgeting:
Develop, monitor, and forecast annual budgets for the Operations and Warehouse departments. Optimize inventory dollar levels to balance excellent customer service with optimal cash flow.
Team Leadership & Development:
Supervise, mentor, and counsel department associates. Oversee scheduling, performance management, career development, and problem resolution, cultivating a collaborative and accountable team culture.
Strategic Problem Solving:
Analyze complex, non-standardized operational challenges and leverage food distribution industry insights to implement high-impact strategies and process improvements.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate cross-functionally with senior leadership to meet corporate goals, while ensuring high-quality, responsive service for external vendors and customers. •Food distribution is highly preferred
