Position OverviewWe are seeking a Lending Operations Manager to lead and optimize day-to-day lending operations across consumer, indirect, and digital channels. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient loan processing, compliance, risk mitigation, and exceptional customer experience while driving process improvements and partnering with product, credit, and technology teams to scale lending operations and support growth in credit cards and other consumer lending products.

Key ResponsibilitiesOversee end-to-end lending operations for consumer loans, indirect lending (dealer/channel relationships), digital lending platforms, and credit card products.

Manage loan origination, underwriting support, documentation, servicing, funding, and portfolio maintenance to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.

Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risk, ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, and maintain audit readiness.

Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing operations team, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and capacity planning.

Partner with credit, fraud, product, IT, and vendor partners to resolve operational issues, streamline workflows, and implement automation and digital solutions.

Monitor operational performance metrics (turnaround times, quality, error rates, charge-offs, delinquency trends) and present actionable insights to senior leadership.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process re-engineering, and technology adoption to increase efficiency and scale operations.

Manage relationships with third-party service providers and indirect channel partners, negotiating SLAs and ensuring service quality.

Coordinate responses to regulatory exams, internal audits, and customer complaints related to lending operations.

Own change management for new product launches, system migrations, and major process changes to minimize business disruption.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.7+ years of experience in lending operations, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role supporting consumer lending, indirect lending, and/or credit card operations.

Demonstrated experience with digital lending platforms, online origination workflows, and implementing automation or process improvements.

Strong knowledge of consumer lending regulations, credit adjudication, underwriting processes, and risk management best practices.

Experience managing vendor relationships and indirect channel partners (dealers, brokers) and familiarity with indirect loan lifecycle.

Proven ability to analyze operational metrics, drive root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve quality and efficiency.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with experience working cross-functionally with product, credit, compliance, and technology teams.

Proficiency with loan origination systems (LOS), servicing platforms, and MS Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools and basic SQL is a plus.

Certifications in banking, compliance, or lending operations (e.g., NACHA, ACAMS) are a plus.
