This is not a standard property management position. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who knows how to lead people, build systems, scale operations, drive profitability, and run a business at a high level.
The ideal candidate has either:
Previously owned or operated their own short-term rental/property management company, OR Led a major division within a hospitality or STR management company This role is designed for a true leader who can take ownership of the company and help scale it while allowing the founder to step back from day-to-day operations. You will oversee operations, sales, acquisitions, finance, marketing, guest experience, software systems, team leadership, and overall company performance. We are building a company focused on operational excellence, strong culture, profitability, and long-term growth. What You'll Be Responsible For Executive Leadership Run and oversee day-to-day company operations Lead the leadership team and department heads Create accountability, structure, and operational excellence Develop and improve systems, SOPs, and company processes Build a culture of ownership, urgency, and high standards Operations Oversee all hospitality and short-term rental operations Manage remote teams, local ground staff, and vendors Improve operational efficiency, margins, and scalability Ensure exceptional guest experiences and strong review performance Oversee maintenance, housekeeping, inspections, and guest services Growth & Business Development Drive company growth and profitability Oversee sales, acquisitions, and owner relations Assist in identifying expansion opportunities and strategic partnerships Monitor KPIs, occupancy, ADR, margins, labor efficiency, and NOI Financial Oversight Understand and oversee: Homeowner statements Billables and labor margins Vendor coordination Budgeting and P&L management Operational reporting Work alongside accounting and finance teams to maintain profitability Systems & Technology Oversee hospitality software systems and integrations Ensure operational systems are configured properly and functioning efficiently Experience with PMS platforms, channel managers, automations, and operational software is critical Minimum Requirements Minimum 10 years of experience in hospitality, hotel operations, or short-term rental management Minimum 3 years of direct short-term rental property management experience managing at least 25+ properties Proven leadership experience managing teams and operations Strong understanding of hospitality operations, finance, and systems Experience hiring, firing, training, and leading teams Experience managing remote employees and departments Strong business and entrepreneurial mindset Highly organized with strong follow-through and accountability Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Ideal Candidate You may be a great fit if you: Previously owned or operated your own property management company Ran operations for a vacation rental or hospitality brand Have experience scaling a small business Understand both hospitality and entrepreneurship Can balance leadership with execution Are obsessed with systems, efficiency, accountability, and guest experience Want the opportunity to help build something meaningful long term
