Job Description

Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Cedar Crest Hospital & Residential Treatment Center Cedar Crest Hospital & Residential Treatment Center in Belton, Texas, is seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead operations at our established behavioral health campus. For over 30 years, Cedar Crest has provided comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder treatment to children, adolescents, adults, and military service members, delivering a full continuum of care that supports lasting recovery. Situated on a 33-acre campus in the rolling hills of Central Texas, Cedar Crest offers a peaceful, therapeutic environment designed to promote healing and growth. Our programs include inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and outpatient services, along with individualized therapies such as group, family, and medication-assisted treatment. About the Role As Chief Operating Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across our multi-level continuum of care. Partnering closely with the CEO and executive leadership team, you will oversee day-to-day operations, optimize performance, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care across all service lines. This leader will be responsible for strengthening clinical and operational outcomes, supporting program growth, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Oversee one or more departments to ensure efficient operations and the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective services. Implement and manage programs that foster employee commitment to quality and service excellence. Actively contribute to strategic planning initiatives, including regulatory compliance and quality improvement efforts. Serve as the acting facility leader in the absence of the CEO. Support the CEO in developing, communicating, and executing effective strategies and processes across the organization. Lead departmental staff, including recruitment, development, training, performance management, and communication, to ensure optimal team performance and operational efficiency. Assist in budget management, ensuring departments operate within financial limits. Analyze operational processes to align with business objectives and meet patient care needs. Perform additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years or more in a leadership role in a related field is required Five or more years of hands-on clinical or hospital operations in the behavioral health field with supervisorial and personnel management experience P&L responsibilities over service lines and/or departments
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS
