Job Description

Transportation / Trucking Industry Reports Directly to the COO Position Overview We are seeking an experienced VP of Operations - USA to lead and oversee the daily operations of our U.S. trucking division. This position will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, fleet productivity, KPI performance, operational discipline, and overall execution across the U.S. operation. The ideal candidate must have strong experience managing high-volume trucking operations, operational teams, fleet performance, and transportation KPIs. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily fleet operations across the U.S. Ensure operational and financial KPIs are achieved. Monitor fleet and driver productivity, including miles per truck, revenue per truck, MPG, idle time, empty miles, and on-time delivery. Follow up on underperforming units and drivers. Ensure the TMS/system is fully updated and maintained in real time. Oversee accuracy and integrity of operational data within the system. Supervise and coordinate Dispatch, Fleet Management, Driver Management, and Customer Service. Work closely with Safety and Maintenance departments to maintain operational efficiency and compliance. Implement operational processes, controls, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in U.S. trucking operations. Experience managing fleets and operational teams. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSA compliance, fleet operations, dispatch operations, and operational KPIs. Experience using TMS systems (McLeod preferred). Strong leadership, process-driven mindset, and results-oriented approach. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Position KPIs Miles per truck Revenue per truck MPG Idle % Empty miles % On-time delivery % Downtime % Accuracy of operational data within the system Role Objective Ensure an efficient, disciplined, and profitable operation by maintaining high levels of productivity, operational compliance, and real-time operational visibility across the U.S. division.
